Small Group Personal Training

How small group personal training works at TNT
Small group personal training is the format most adults at TNT end up choosing, and it exists because the two obvious options both have a flaw. One-on-one training is excellent and expensive enough that most people quit it within a few months. Group fitness classes are affordable and give everyone the same workout whether it suits them or not. Small group takes the coaching from the first and the sustainability from the second.
Here is what that looks like in practice. You arrive at 880 Oneida St Suite D in Menasha. Your program for the day is already written for you, based on your movement screen, your history, and what you did last week. You warm up, the coach checks your setup, and you work through your lifts while three or four other people work through theirs. Nobody is counted down through a workout they should not be doing.
The coaching itself follows the TNT Training 5 system: strength, conditioning, body composition, movement and mobility. Every coach on the floor holds a degree in Exercise Science, so the standard does not drop because you had to switch from the morning block to the afternoon one. Sessions are 45-60 minutes and we do not chase soreness — we prioritise your joints so you are still training in twenty years.
At $74 a week it also includes full access to our large group sessions, which means you can add training days without adding cost. If you want the whole tier structure side by side, the pricing page lists every option and what stacks.

Who small group training suits — and who it doesn't
Who it suits: adults who want accountability without a spotlight, people coming back after years away, anyone whose previous attempts failed because nothing was ever adjusted for them. Who it does not suit: someone who wants to train alone with headphones in — a commercial membership serves that better and we will tell you so.
The wider adult training program page covers the schedule and the full coaching approach, and if you are driving in from across the valley, personal training for the Fox Cities explains how members from Neenah, Appleton and Kaukauna fit it around a commute. Either way, the first consultation is free — we watch you move, then tell you honestly whether small group is the right fit or whether another tier makes more sense for you.
Small group training questions
- What actually happens in a small group personal training session?
- Sessions run 45-60 minutes. You get an individual program for the day, a coach who checks your setup on every main lift, and the energy of training beside other people. It is individualised attention without the isolation — and without the price of one-on-one.
- How is this different from a fitness class?
- A class gives everybody the same workout and hopes it fits. Small group personal training gives each person in the room their own programming under one coach. Two people standing next to each other may be doing entirely different lifts on the same day.
- What does it cost and what is included?
- Small group personal training is $74 a week and includes full access to the large group sessions, so you can add extra training days at no additional cost. Billing is weekly and there is no long contract to decode.
- What if I miss a session?
- You catch the next one. With 45+ coached sessions on the weekly schedule — mornings from 5:00am, afternoons from 4:15pm and Saturdays from 5:30am — a missed day is a reschedule, not a setback. No penalties and no guilt.
- I'm out of shape and self-conscious. Will I be the weakest person there?
- Almost nobody here started in shape, and the room is used to restarts. Your program is scaled to what you can do today, so 'keeping up' is not a thing you have to worry about — you are only ever running your own plan.
